so much for the 5.5 hour lmit. went from 2-9am today. started looking out for the other new guy's packages and he began to do the same. i think i'm fitting in.
napped until 12:30 tried a few places for lunch that allegedly accepted EBT including the banh mi che cali at santa anita & lower azusa only to discover that they don't. ended up trying a 3 po boy pack at ralph's. pleh.
went shopping for dinner for tomorrow at the park, stopped by derek's to get the beans soaking. he let me stay to recharge the battery and surf the web and a dinner invitation turned into me making chicken clay pot rice using his insta-pot. alas, it's smart enough to know when a crust is forming - which is what you want with clay pot rice, and it kept shutting itself off using the pressure cook setting. now trying the rice setting. it smells good.
and it *was* really good. kinda like chinese lo mai gai you typically order at dim sum, but with more flavor.
have a 1:45 call time.
