i am recharging for the THIRD time today; i parked outside derek's again and discovered that a LOT of people take walks up and down that street by 7am.

i tried farnsworth park. it was interesting i saw a pretty unkempt guy just standing there on the sidewalk, then another relatively unkempt guy came by, and they struck up an informed conversation over the movement of the NASDAQ index. there's a lesson to had there, i'm sure.

i then went down to my mechanic's for wifi, and realized i had to recharge for a 1pm videoconference appointment using the WIFI at CA, kept surfing the web prompting a mid afternoon recharge, followed by one last internet surf looking up compatible batteries.

i think i found two vendors, one guaranteeing an arrival date on june 2nd. awaiting a replay from the other which happens to be in ontario and ships via fedex (yeah, it'll probably og through arcadia where i work) which hopefully means getting it by monday if i purchase it tomorrow. yay.

i have hopes in a response to ad with 2 people of faith in their 30's active in their churches looking for a replacement roommate. downside: not available until may 25th. in that case, i might offering someone with a room in pasadena a daily rate of about $30 just to use the room for electricty, internet & sleeping - no kitchen/bathroom. she wants $1000 a month for a separate back house with no plumbing. rumor has it she's the type of person who will wake you up at night to tell you you forgot to put the toilet seat down. i'd rather avoid her altogether. mattress, chair and some sort of desk for the laptop and i'm a happy man. a single bag of ice in my water jug, my bottles/pot for bathroom needs, and i can last 10 days eating PBJ sandiwches and takeout burning off the rest of my EBT which is still around $330.

anyway, now back recharging with an ETD of about 9pm down to fedex.

i realize i'm glued to my laptop more than i should be.
