finished my first full eek of work. i haven't worked that many hours in a week since 2001. as for the strenuousness, i just need to remember not to turn at the waist when carrying a heavy load, and not to bend over when lifting.
napped until 12:30, scouted the metro station in arcadia and found the open electric socket. there's also a porta-potty and a place to waste hands. that explained the homeless i saw around the station. it's usually not that obvious.
surfed the web until 3 got email responses back from yuri/kiyoko concerning my thoughts about guidelines for food and things like that. headed over to derek's to start dinner which consisted of chili & rice. served dinner, but it was surprisingly cold so a lot of folks didn't hang around long after eating.
got back to derek's and cleaned the pressure & rice cookers. ordered a 9 cell laptop battery after confirming i could pick it up and save some lag time in delivery. ended up talking with derek until 11pm. it was good to get caught up.
hoping the new battery will relieve a lot of the electricity concerns; a T420 on a new 9 cell is supposed to be able to last 10 hours. i'm getting maybe 2hours 20 miniutes tops with the current battery.
