got off around 8:30 or so. the right temple frame of my glasses came apart so i spent some time taping it back together before heading over to the santa anita metro.
it's a little chilly but an outlet is open and it's been quite pleasant until a female pushing a cart came by and went into a profanity laced tirade. i have no idea of how i could help her even if i wanted to try. she's moved on, but her voice is echoing through the 24 hour fitness parking structure across the street. looks like she's coming back.
and she did, but she'd run out of tirade. for some reason, couldn't get my mechanic's wifi, so i picked up some early lunch at vons, ate at the park and then napped until 2pm.
went grocery shopping for dinner tonight, and also picked up some fish tacos for me & derek.
he lent me his clippers and i shaved off enough hair to make a tribble from star trek. boy it feels nice to have that hair off my head.
as i was showering i thought about the lady at the metro station. it occurred to me that as long as she was angry, she'd keep shouting, but better that than for her to go silent because she'd given up from not being heard.
made chicken & rice with chinese sausage, oyster sauce/miso for dinner at the park. told them it was one of my favorite meals. no one talked about three minutes once dinner started. yeah.
came back to derek's, cleaned up the pots/cookers, folded my laundry, etc. and finished today's blog entry.
i'm taking two days off this week, but i may start doing six days a week starting next week.
tomorrow: get the car smogged (finally!) and patch up the holes in my jeans; can't wear torn clothes to work.
i'm clearly in thrall to my computer. maybe i should start spending the extra time in prayer?
