woke up around 5am with a need for the bathroom, only to discover that they finally inspected the apartment and locked the patio door. fortunately, i had my contingency plan ready to go small pot about 8" in diameter, plastic bag and TP.
i guess i'll start washing up in the guardhouse bathroom after work. but not having access to a toilet for #2 after 8pm concerns me a bit. i had plenty of privacy in the patio area with a chair, but if i'm parked somewhere....
i better find a place to stay.
apparently i fell asleep reading last night, and my laptop battery depleted itself. looking for a decent charge, then pick up my new laptop batrey which got delivered from les. that will hopefully resolve one concern - i can recharge both batteries simultaneoulsy using my backup laptop.
this is the first time i've had to go so early all month. i'll need to monitor my food intake more closely. big lunches - good. big dinners - not so much.
did wifi at CA and then picked up my new battery from les. i had pages on chrome i didn't want to lose, so i went back to the patio, plugged in and swapped batteries. turned out my new battery wasn't fully charged so i waited and recharged it up to 95%. it's been an hour and a half or so, and i allegedly have almost 5.5 hours left. nice. and i have 2.5-3 hours on the backup battery. i can recharge them simultaneously using the backup laptop.
applied for another room listing. $800 including utilities, a private patio, pool & jacuzzi. they responded. it's in altadena, but the room is about 8'x10' with no central air. it would be brutal come summer even with the pool and jacuzzi. the other room is regular sized, but they want $800 + $100 utilities. maybe i'll feel differently in a week, but there's no way i could fit all my stuff in that room. there's a patio area that would be mine, but with no roof, i can't store anything out there. if it'd been a regular sized room at that price, i might have considered it more seriously.
